Ok, I’m giving this pattern my personal stamp of approval. There are several options provided in this pattern and each is easy to assemble. The pattern is also relatively simple to understand as definitions of the types of stitches are provided alongside of the instructions. If the instructions call for a “basting-stitch,” no assumption is made that you actually know what a “basting-stitch” is and an explanation for how to perform the stitch is provided. There are no “markings” in this pattern that require the assembler to do anything other than cut and sew.

The true test came with giving the completed outfit to my daughter. She can be a tough nut to crack, sometimes! Well, she loved it! She loved the colors of the skirt and the vest and the “rose fur” made her feel like a “big girl.” She couldn’t wait to wear the clothes to school to show her friends what her mommy had made.
